London is one of the most touristic cities in the world and one may think that it will be really easy to see everything worth seeing. Well it is not exactly like that. Here are my top ten things to see and do in London...
No. 10 Eat fish and chips...The traditional London snack will instantly become your favorite. You usually get more than a usual person can eat in a meal and it is really tasty. If you buy it from a small stand in the street, you can usually get a good meal with under 10 pounds;

No. 9 Drink an original English beer in a small traditional London Pub. There are hundreds of small pubs scattered in every corner of the city. Just make sure it's not a match day. If an English team is playing and the pub has a TV, it will always show the game and the fans will fill it in minutes. Also, avoid the very touristic sites, where the prices for beer are really high;
No. 8 Shopping on Oxford Street. Especially on weekends, this avenue will surely be crowded with locals and tourists visiting the best known firms in the world. You can usually find everything you need by just strolling from one shop to another;
No. 7 Visit the British Museum. The British Museum is one of the main attractions of London and it is located north of the city center, easily accessible with the metro. If you are interested in world art and history, this is the best place to be. Just make sure you allow for at least 3-4 hours to see some of the things here. You will need a day to see most of it. Just focus on your interest.
No. 6 Visit the Natural History and the Science Museum. These are some of the most interesting attractions of London. They are located one next to the other, south of Hyde Park. You will surely find something interesting in them and a tourist usually needs half a day for both. A good thing is that all museum have free entry in London;
No. 5 Visit the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Even if you cannot afford to enter inside, it is worth just seeing them from outside. The area is always full of tourists and there are many other things to discover closeby, like the St. Paul's Cathedral;
No. 4 Visit the Big Ben, Houses of the Parliament, Westminster Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. These are the things that most tourists cross off their list as soon as they arrive in London. They are all located close to one another and you can take some travel snapshots from these attractions;
No. 3 See the city from a double-decker red tourist bus. These are all around the city and for a day pass, you can get on and off when and how many times you want. Not only you easily get to a destination, but the city from 4 meters high and with the wind through your hair will look very different;
No. 2 Get on a cruise ship and see the city from the Thames river. This will usually make your London discovery much more interesting and will add a touch of adventure to your travel. There are several companies which run usual trips every half an hour;
No 1 Spend a sunny morning in Hyde Park, next to the lake, just watching the passers and the graceful swans. There are many tourists that just avoid parks in their travels and that is a shame, considering that London has some of the most beautiful parks in the world, with the famous English grass fields.
